In this lesson I go over the 3 pages of exercises to practice major and minor seconds in all possible directions and combinations in the chromatic cycle. Then I show you how to use that concept in your improvisation. Using this idea, you don't rely so much on the chord changes. It results in a melodic line that is very chromatic and pretty far out. I actually disregard completely the changes, relying more on my ears and gut feeling to resolve appropriately.
