Saxophonist, classically trained at the Conservatoire de Musique du Québec in the late 1980's. I later became a Physics Engineer as a day job and have been calling Silicon Valley home for the last twenty some years. After a 15-20 year hiatus, I picked back my horn and started playing seriously again some 10 years ago. As a musician, I collaborate with a Berkeley based Philharmonic orchestra which specializes in 20th century music as well as the creation of works by young composers, I also sometimes sub with the SF Jazz Center community big band. I am a latecomer to jazz, I believe I opened Parker's Omnibook for the first time at the age of 45... Jazz is definitely a journey and some get to places earlier than others. I am definitely part of the slow learners.
