7 comments on “Whisper Not”
Here I am practicing the melody plus the bass line with the 7-stroke clave:
My practice on Whisper not before start with bluesette. Sorry about some mistakes, the coordination is still in process.
I like so much the aug triads on m7b5, are really cool 🙂
Great Dulce! nice job at playing the walking bass through the entire tune! Ilke the augmented triads too 😉
BTW, regarding the particular 9th on the half-diminished chord scale, it can be noted that the major 9th is a chromatic approach (from below) to the minor 3rd chord tone, and the b9 is a chromatic approach (from above) to the root. I use this varying approach (line going up vs. going down) on dominant 7ths as well (in particular, phrygian dominant scale (!) going down).
Hi Alex! I have doubts about the Do solfège in this song. Another Real Book has this song with 3 flats (Cm) and in this one only 1 (Dm) . I can´t decide..
Hi Dulce, if the song starts on Cm and has 3 flats at the key, this is wrong, in my opinion.
That being said, I wouldn’t use the Do solfege here because it modulates too much
Perfect, thank you Alex
